Type Combinations

Many Pokemon can have two types, creating unique combinations that can either strengthen or weaken their overall effectiveness. Understanding these combinations is key to building a strong team. For example, knowing that Ice types are weak to certain types can help you counter them effectively. Some Pokemon can learn special moves like False Swipe or Cut regardless of their type.

Type Effectiveness

Each type has its own effectiveness against other types, which can be super effective (2x damage), not very effective (0.5x damage), or have no effect (0x damage). Some types are immune to certain other types, making them particularly valuable in specific matchups.
